Project Description:
Mission: Instilling hope, vision and purpose in the lives of children of incarcerated parents in need of healing and restoration.

Brother's Keeper- This is a program that provides continued support to a dad at Minnesota Correctional Facility in Faribault after he has take PWP's parenting classes. The Brother's Keeper continues the support through letter writing, visits and after the dad is released meetings and phone calls continue. This position is for men who have some experience with children (their own or others) and has a desire to make a difference in a man's life.

Sister's Keeper - Requires a lady who has a personal relationship with Christ, a desire to change a lady's life and some parenting experience. The Sister's Keeper is a continued support for moms at Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee after she completes PWP's parenting classes. The Sister's Keeper will be introduced to the women at 2 different parenting classes and then choose a lady who she has been acquainted with. The contacts will continue monthly with visits, letter writing and after release; one on one contact and phone calls.

Dates of Service:
Minimum of one year commitment

Time Commitment/Hours:
Requires 1x per month contact with the dad.

Training/Screening Requirements:
Brothers Keeper - Orientation is required and 2 visits to parenting classes to meet the men and choose a Brother.
Sisters Keeper - Orientation and a background check required.
